Cecil at Farmers Market – Franklin, TN
Early one Saturday morning I ventured out with camera bag in tow to the Franklin Farmers Market. I found myself in an image rich environment. In the process I met some very interesting people. Just getting their photos wasn’t enough. So, I returned to see if I could capture some of their stories. Here is the first of many to come.

Thank you for this article! Mr. Cecil Bronnenberg is my Dad and when I stumbled onto it I was so surprised! I live is Florida and unable to travel for health reasons. But I have always wanted to see my Dad in action at the Farmer’s Market. He works so hard to participate and I am so proud of him. When I was able to hear his voice in the interview, I started to cry! This is something our family will cherish always! I had to laugh when I heard him describe his ancestors! Mr. Bronnenberg is a little too humble for his own good sometimes. Those “coward” war avoiders were the children of the King and Queen of Brandenburg, Prussia and were sent to the United States to be kept alive. Mr. Cecil comes from royalty but it isn’t like him to boast! He may present himself as only a little tomato seller but he was a top educator and citizen of the year before retirement and at 85 is constantly learning and trying new things. He has a very generous spirit and I am proud to be his daughter!
Kyle-I check your website from time to time especially when my spirit needs a lift. It was such a blessing to check in this morning. So many beautiful pictures and I enjoyed the farmer’s market with Mr.Bronnenberg. Reading his daughter’s “thank you” touched my heart deeply. We too are here in Florida for health reasons(caring for ailing family), but my heart longs to return to the country. If we ever will-I just don’t know, but at least I can enjoy it on your website!
